price validation from catalog, in template based ordering

Hi gurus,

i thought this was pretty standard. I have ticked the "validate product data from enterprise buyer" in the Catalog configuration. However when i order from a template, i do not get any message if the catalog price has changed.

we are on EBP5, SP8. There was an OSS note that validation does not work with Inframe catalog, which was resolved thru SP6 already. I have also added message BBP_PU 362(&: Price changed due to catalog validation) as error message to config and made it Error...still no luck.

The catalog is a normal CCM2.0 product catalog.

Does the validation ONLY work if catalogs have "Product ID" populated?

hi Suby72

we Can use the BBP_DOC_CHange_BADI and Check BAdi for validating the SC values. try using this badis

BBP_Change_DOC_BADI and

BBP_check_DOC_BADI

Pass the original price in the memory global through change BADI and throw an error message through Check BADI.

I checked at my place when i have maintained a price for a mateiral in CCM and same is added to SC the price field in display mode and is not editable field.

Then I checked the charateristics /ccm/price in

catalog charateristivs option for Master catalog -

where following were the settings for this field

Characteristic Attributes

Can Be Sorted / Is Relevant for Searching in Results - tick on

Visibility of Characteristic

Comparison Display

Context Display

Detailed Display

List Display

All four are tick on can you pls chk whether at your place this are on .

May be the last tick list display keeps the field in display mode during creation of SC
