Hi,

Transport Request will be created when saving Alert Category in ALRTCATDEF Tcode.

or Use Transport Menu in above Tcode.

Alert Rules are not Transported, But Alternate Solution is

Create a workbench transport request manually with transaction SE09. Delete the corresponding unclassified task of that request.

Doubleclick on the transport request and click on button 'edit <-> change'. For Program ID enter R3TR, for Object Type enter TABU and for Object Name enter SXMSALERTRULES.

Now click on the button with the key symbol (located under 'Function'). Click on 'Insert row' and enter * for table key. Save the request, release it and import it in the target system.

Hi,

Once you have defined the alert category in the ALRTCATDEF while saving that it will generate one TRANSPORT REQUEST NUMBER. We can transport this request number by using SE09.

For ALERT rule in RTW we need to define manually in development ,quality, production like how we are configuring the adapters in directory.

Hi Rama, Tarang,

why do you tell the guy to transport alert rules manually ?

why not check the note I mentioned ?

SXMSALERT_CONFIGTRANS ...

if you like manual you can stick to that but it can be done faster

agreed with Mike.

Its not worth recreating alert rules in each environment.

use the report SXMSALERT_CONFIGTRANS to create a transport request for the alert rules which you can easily transport.

For your alert configuration, it will in anycase be a transport request when you create it in ALRTCATDEF

Hi Micheal,

i have mentioned like Alert Rules in RWB are not transported .

but Solution given in SAP Note 1110295 using

Alternatively you can proceed as follows:

Create a workbench transport request manually with transaction SE09. Delete the corresponding unclassified task of that request. Doubleclick on the transport request and click on button 'edit <-> change'. For Program ID enter R3TR, for Object Type enter TABU and for Object Name enter SXMSALERTRULES.
