Dear All,
I am using SRM server 5.0 with the CCM 1.0 and XI 3.0.
I have made all the necessary settings for the CCM as well the XI. I have generated the scenarios in the XI.
and defined the RFC connections as well in SRM .
As a last when I run the report
/CCM/initialise_cme
I get the following error after running the report:
Error initializing the predefined characteristics and data types
When the slg1 transaction is run , I get the folowing log
message.
Processing object /CCM/PRICE(CA-CAT) (object type DTYPE)
Object was changed
Processing object /CCM/PRICE(CA-CAT);PURCHASING_CATALOG_09(CA-CAT) (object type CHARACTER)
Object cannot be created (key is already assigned)
Though in the debugging I bypass the field /CCM/PRICE(CA-CAT) i.e delete it from the interanl table. I get
the same error but for different object
I cannot understand the last line i.e. object cannot be created(key is already assigned).
Pleasethrow some light on why is this happening as well as suggest solution.
Regards
Vinit
Hi Vinit
Which support packages did you install for SRM server 5.0 and for CCM 1.0? Did you carefully read the corresponding release notes? They contain information on very important dependencies between all the components participating!
However, I'd suggest you to begin with latest SP of SRM server 5.0 (I believe it is SP08 or even higher) and to go with a CCM 2.0 install with at least SP03. We had some difficulties to get things up and running especially with CCM 1.0 end of last year.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Renaud

Thank you Renaud for your early repsonse.
I gone though the notes.
I am using CCM 1.0 witht SP 5.
SAP SRM 5.0 is with the sp 8.
SRM_SERVER 500 0008 SAPKIBKS08.
CCM 100 0005 SAPK-10005INCCM
Did you face the same problem when running the report for CCM 1.0 as described in my earlier mail?.
DO you think installing CCM 2.0 with SP03 should
solve the problem and is the only way out?

hi vinit
we also faced problems while running the intialisation
following is the error -
Error when initializing predefined characteristics and data types" and SLG1 says there's a problem /CCM/CX_OBJECT_CREATION_FAILED when creating /CCM/AMOUNT"
pls refer oss notes - 913816
Even upgrade the basis and abap patch levels to SP15.
this will remove the error in slg1.
After upgrading the patches pls restart the server once.
then run trying initialisation progrm.
At our end this had solved the problem.
patch levels
SRM - 5.0 sp08
Basis patch - 6.40 sp15
ABAP patch - 6.40 sp15
CCM version - 2.0 sp02

Nimish Sheth
