In SAPMMC I am seeing the below status. Could you please advise how to get them back to green. Restart of system didn't worked and also J2EE server restart through SMICM didn't worked.

disp+work.EXE is in yellow.

Description: Dispatcher

Status: Running but message server unreachable, J2EE status info unavailable.

Thanks

Kumar

Hi,

Please check if database if running or not. Also paste the log of dev_w0 so that it can be analyzed to help you.

Hi,

Are you able to login to SAP. What are the WP status in ABAP process table. If possible, stop SAP and its services and also the database. Then start the database and then services of SAP and then SAP.

Yes I am able to log into sap system. ABAP work processes are in wait state. I am using server 2003. Today when I switched on the system, now the MMC status is different

***********************************************************

disp+work.EXE status is in yellow.

Message Server connection ok, dialog Queue time:0.00sec, J2EE status info unavailable.

**************************************************************

Now both ABAP and J2EE WP Table processes are in wait mode. But still disp+work.EXE status is in yellow. I am able to see oracle.exe in taskmanger.

When I run SMICM and Administration..>J2EE Server..>Restart...>YES. ..disp+work.EXE is becoming green.

Could you please advise why disp+work.EXE is going in yellow everytime. Is ther any way to fix the problem so that it will be in green everytime I bring the system up.

thanks

kumar

Hi,

Can you give a try by restarting the server once. Before that stop SAP and its services. Then stop Database and then restart the server. After that again start the Database and then service of SAP and SAP instance.

sapstartsrv file is not replaced during kernel update because the service SAPSID_<> was running by the time of kernel update.Check note 396309--Dispatcher remains yellow, although the system is running.

This for sure will solve your problem
