Folks,
I've a v weird requirement. There are certain insp characteristics that are quantitative in nature (with upper & lower limit values) but while result recording, the requirement is to be able to provide a Ok/Not-Ok as its result (qualitative), depending on whether it is within or outside the tolerance range.
Is this do-able in SAP? I donot use batch mgmt (so no char's in the system).
If you are using QM functionality I think you need to make separate MIC for the measured value for Qty and Quallitative .
Valuattion is itself to make the accpentance of the quantitative measured value.
If you can use PM functionality this can be done by using measuring point .

Hello Andy Yeri,
But finally whether you want to put quantitative readings or just ok/ not ok or both?
If you want to put both then I suggest to go for putting quantitative readings in the system. The purpose of ok / not ok gets automatically resolved once you valuate the characteristic. Valuation has only 2 outcomes as either accept or reject. You can prepare Z reports also based on the valuation of this characteristic.
But simultaneously you cannot put these 2 readings in system.
