Hi Folks,
I was wondering if:
1) it was possible to do backward transportation (production -> QAS -> dev) using CTS for software components (from ESB). My goal would be to undo the transport
2) it was possible to recover a transport in dev, used in CTS, to reapply in same environment (like we do in ABAP . Reapply a previous version on a program)
Thanks,
Aarhyn

It is not possible

You can go to the object in IR or ID and from the menu choose history. This will get you back the previous versions. Always make sure you put a backup copy before doing this so that if somehting missed also you dont have problems.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers. I forgot to mentioned I'm using version 7.1. For Option 2, I don't see any History menu. The only thing I have is in tools->Find Transports or Tools->Open CTS Transport Organizer
Could I you one of them to retrieve a previous version and reapply it to the existing software components?
Thanks.
Hi Aarhyn,
I think you didnot get what I am trying to tell. Whatever you are trying to do cannot be done.
Lets suppose you have a mapping and if you want that to a previous version then what you can do is open the mapping and go to message mapping tab menu --> History. There you can see all the versions of the message and if you want to go to previous versions you can save and activate it. But you cannot do it using cts or cms.

Undo Transport......the way we do it is....make the necessary changes in DEV (suppose add/ delete/ modify) and then transport this to the desired environment (QA/ PROD)....we cannot/ dont go from PROD --> QA --> DEV.
