CE71 activating sap* emergency account

I am attempting to activate sap* emergency user under configtool. When I attempt to change the the parameter to TRUE and reset the password, those two parameters are greyed out.

I am running WAS 7.1, I have no issues on 7.0 when changing this parameter.

thanks

I am wondering where do I do this?

I look in the configtool and I find the parameters to set to True but both parameters are greyed out.

How or where do I change this, is there a procedure?

Thanks

Did you try to click on 'switch to edit mode' (pencil button)' before trying to change these parameter values.

And also, please ensure to use J2EE_ADMIN account or equaliant account to make this change.

The procedure for editing UME properties is documented [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/0b/50ad3e1d1edc61e10000000a114084/frameset.htm].

Hi Weyland Yutani,

After activating the emergency user (sap*) and entering the password, You got to restart your AS Java.

And as a result all other users are deactivated.

So to disable sap* once after you made the necessary configuration you got to disable this sap* by

setting ume.superadmin.activated to false.

then again, restart AS Java to take effect.
