Error -24895 MAXDB

Hi experts,

I'm trying to go online my database but I have the following error:

-24895 shutdown of database occured [db_online -f]; -71, connection broken

any idea?

Please check knldiag (and/or KnlMsg) in the run directory of the database.

Hi Markus,

I am using SAPDB 7.5 and meet the same problem.

I found the knldiag.err

Can you explain me: What does it mean and how may I start-up my instance?

Dear Mr. Jeronimo Arijo,

1) If you are SAP customer, I recommend to review the SAP note 851333 and create the SAP message to solve this issue.

2) It will be helpful if you will update the ticket with additional information:

• What is the OS of the database server?

• When the database was restarted successfully last time?

• How did you stop and when did you stop the database before you failed to restart the database online?

• Could start the database in admin status, create the database backup & post the

u201Cbackup saveu201D results.

• Please post the output of the dbm command u201Cparam_getvolsallu201D.

3) Also you have quit old database version u201C7.5.0 Build 015u201D.

I recommend to update it, when the problem with corrupted log volume will be solved.
