Hi All,
I am customizing standard web dynpro applications for ESS. I have imported the Web dynpro source code from JDI into NWDS. But all the source code is in German language(i mean all the label names, buttons etc). Is there any way that I can switch it to English.
Thanks,
Tom
Hi All,
I think there is definitely a way to do it. One of my friend is working at another client and he is able to see the source code in English. There should be some option to do language settings as we have in R/3 system. I am not able to find how to do it but if you guys can figure it out then do let me know.
Thanks,
Tom

For me, this really doesn't make any since at all. If you have source code written in german, and you are able to convert it to english, to me this would now be a completely different program. Variables being renamed, methods renamed. It is a totally different program, and I doubt that it can be done. Now if we are specifically talking about UI elements, then yes, I think there is a conversion for UI elements to other languages, but not the underlying source code that makes the program run.

Hi Rich & Armin,
Sorry for not posting my question properly. I am specifically talking about UI elements. I just need to convert the names of UI elements from German to english.
For example.. the buttons are labelled as:
Abbrechen, Auffrrischen. Now I would like to see this in English.
Thanks,
Tom
Ahhh... Now this makes perfect sense!! Yes, I believe that you can do this.
Maybe this will help.

I do not understand what you mean with "source code is in German language". Do you mean that text resources are in german?
I cannot imagine that there are any program entities like variable or method names in german. Can you give an example?
Armin

Hi Tom,
Rich is right.
There is no such tool available to convert source code from one language to another language.

I very much doubt that there is any tool to convert source code written in German to English. Most of the source code in R/3(ECC) is written in German, there is no tool to convert there, so I doubt it is avaiable on the java side.
