SAP Kernel older than Visual Admin

Former Member

Hello All,

I have installed two instances on the same server:

1. SAP ECC with EhP4 with kernel release 701

2. SAP PI with kernel release 710

The instances was installed in the order SAP ECC and then SAP PI.

When we try to access the Visual administrator to Setting Up the SLD Data Supplier (J2EE) for PI (only one VA exist in /usr/sap/DEV/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/admin for system SAP ECC, PI doesn't have VA) the system display a message:

Warning: J2EE Engine Kernel is older than the version of Visual Administrator.

How we can access the VA to configuring the SLD Data supplier for PI system or exist other way to configure the SLD Data Supplier for SAP PI J2EE?

Thanks,

HUSVP

Have you run the "Configuration Wizard" as part of the post install ?. If not I will recommend it, most of the destinations, Jco's will be created by running the wizard.

These are two good doc's to start:

[Install, Configure and Run SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/00004f25-6190-2b10-2c8b-fa419234c28b]

Hope this helps.

Use http://<host>:<port>/sld for the configuration. Once you are logged in Administration -> Data Suppliers

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
