is your SPA system already running on Oracle?

If not, you need to install Oracle client on your SAP server, and install dboraslib.dll.

then, you can play around with DBCON.

*Hi,*

Please refer [SAP Note 339092 - DB MultiConnect with Oracle as secondary database|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/339092], which i have already suggested in my last post of this thread. This note contains all required information.

Steps Summary:

*1. Install Oracle Software and Client on the SAP R3 Host* from where you want to access Oracle Database as Secondary Database. Some Env. variables such as ORACLE_HOME, NLS_LANG, ORA_NLS33,TNS_ADMIN, etc will be required to set along the Net8 configuration.

*2. Maintain DB connection entry in DBCON table* by providing following Info

Connection name-- Logical name of the connection

DBMS-- ORA

User name-- Oracle user

DB password-- Password for the Oracle user mentioned above

Conn.info--TNS alias

3. Download database library 'dboraslib.<ext> and copy it to <dirve>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\run directory of SAP R3 (with MSSQL Server)

Please refer the above suggested SAP Note 339092 to get more detailed info.
