XI and Credit Management in FSCM 6.0

SAP uses XI to link Credit Management in ERP2004 and ERP2005 to FI Accounts Receivable and SD. You have the option to install a seperate system for FSCM or install it on the same system as ERP.

Do you need to install a seperate system to handle the XI connection between FSCM and ERP? Or can XI be installed on the same system. I understood that it is not possible to install XI on a Unicode system. Is this true?

starting with NW04s XI can be installed as separate client on an ERP system as long as this system is a unicode system. XI can not be installed on a non unicode system.
