Gurus,
I am upgrading my Oracle 9i to 10g on AIX
During upgrade, I started the database upgrade assistant. In the 2nd screen, it displayed the database and path of old Oracle_Home which I selected and said next. Now it is collecting information about the database. But this collection is going on for past 1+ hour!! When I upgraded oracle on DEV and QLT, this step did take some time but considering the H/W of the current PRD server, I think the process is taking too much time. Is this a concern?
The small screen says "Getting database information. Please wait...."
I had a copy of PRD on DEV and QLT so the database size on DEV and QLT was similar to PRD
any suggestions?
Rgds
Gurus,
Thanks for your inputs and time
Re-starting DBUA solved the problem.
topas |grep oracle displayed the process which I killed and re-started DBUA
Thanks

Can you check the terminal where you started dbua if there's any output? Also check the logs of dbua.
