SAP Logon Groups for Background users

I am trying to find out if it is possible to restrict SAP background users (system, communication, service) to a specific application server by using SAP logon groups in transaction SMLG. I know that this is possible for dialog users but am not sure how the logon groups affect background user logons.

If anyone can assist with this query I will appreciate it.

Have you looked into RZ12?

Try the button "Job-Servergruppen" on transaction SM61, here you can create batch process server groups.

SMLG for User Logons

RZ12 for RFC groups (used as well by async dialogs calls)

SM61 for Batch job groups

SM14 for Update prcoess server groups
