SAPTrans on EHP installer

Former Member

Hi

I using Enhancement Package installer and when I get to the extaction part, it says I don't have the latest version of SAPtrans.

I looked at the database file structure, and there's three different places where SAPtrans is saved. Which one is it that I have to update? How do I check which directory is my Kernel?

They are all sitting under /usr/sap/ERQ/SYS/exe/run.

Thanks

And there you have to exchange R3trans.

Yes, but there's about 4 of them sitting in that directory under different file structures, eg there' s one under Kernel lib, etc.

Which one should I change, or should I change them all?

Sorry - it's the R3trans.cmd file I'm referring to.

I've replaced R3Trans, and now I get the following message on EHP installer:

Severe error(s) occured in phase REV_PRPEXTRACT/RESET_PREPARE!

Last error code set: Cannot open '/usr/sap/ERQ/EHPI/abap/tmp/RESET_PR.ECO': No such file or directory

Any ideas?

so you're trying to reset the upgrade now?

Yes - because I didn't have the latest version of r3trans.

Hi,

If you want to reset the upgrade use this command : <Path>\startup.bat reset prepare.

But you no need to reset prepare operation instead of that you can copy latest r3trans kernal file into <Path>\EHPI\ABAP\exe and <Path>\EHPI\ABAP\exe_new folder in your IFS then you restart from corrent phase . it will work out.

Thanks
