Did you mean:

"x" does not have packaging material type and is therefore not a pack.mat.

I'm facing this problem and I noticed that this question has been posted in this forum () before. However, I'm still unable to resolve this issue.

I've done the following:

1. Path: Logistics Execution -> Shipping u2013 Packing -> Packing Control by Item Category

Assigned A to Item Category for packing.

2. Path: Logistics Execution -> Shipping u2013 Packing -> Define Packaging Material Types

I've defined a new packaging material type.

3. Path: Logistics Execution -> Shipping u2013 Packing -> Define Material Group for Packaging Materials

I've defined a new material group.

4. Path: Logistics Execution -> Shipping u2013 Packing -> Define Allowed Packaging Materials

I've define a allowed packaging material type.

5. In MM02, under the material # | Basic Data #1 and Sales General/Plant Data.

I've assigned by selecting the new material group defined under step 3.

6. I go to Vl01n (create delivery) and pack. I get this error: "Material X" does not have packaging material type and is therefore not a pack.mat. By the way, my material for delivery is type "FERT".

Have I missed out any step?

Thanks

Steven

Hi Lakshmipathi

Thanks for showing me the link. After following the help, I actually forgotten to maintain the packaging material type field in the material master.

Hi Steven,

I suggest, use

Material type ---> VERP Packaging

Item category group ---> VERP Packaging

Hope it helps,

Thanks MT, I actually did that at the first place for the packaging material to be used for my deliver material.
