Hi MDM Gurus.
Had one question regarding MDM fields control/governance in ECC.How the control over the MDM fields is done in ECC so that no data change happens in ECC by users?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Ravi,
If I understood your question correctly you need to lock the master data in ECC by users which is coming and maintained in MDM. If it is correct then you dont give permissions or authorizations for the user who you dont want in sap.
Else if you only dont want to change the mdm fields maintained in MDM, then see the corresponding fields in ECC then probably writing a custom funciton module, so that if even user changes it throws authorization error on that fields.
One approach is discussed here:

Let's say you are handling below fields in MDM which you don't want to someone to change in SAP ECC.
description, Material Group, gen item cat group, Uom,
then you can define them as a lock relevant fields in SAP ECC for general users.
Check in SAP ECC - SPRO for Logistic general --> Material master -> field selection>lock relevant fields
