Hi All,

I ma trying to install a demo system of ECC6.0 in windows 2003 server.

But getting the error when i started sapinst.exe

guiengine: no GUI connected; waiting for a connection on host xxx port 2120 to continue with installtion

"could not connect to host localhost on port 21212. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

I configured loop back adapter also.

Any one please help me to solve the issue.

Which version of jdk is used by sapinst ? JAVA_HOME is set properly ?

We are using JDK 1.6, and JAVA_HOME is also set.

Hi,

jdk 1.4.2 x64 > 10v is recommended . Please refer [Note 716604 - Access to Sun J2SE and recommended J2SE options|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/716604] to get more info. The download link is mentioned in that note.

As per you suggestion, i have changed the Java version to jdk 1.4.2 x64 and which solved the issue.
