Custom code group- is not getting the correct maintenance cycle

Hi all,

I am facing a problem in the definitiion of the custom code profile.

In the Standard profile, codes are maintained for implmentation, upgrade, maintenance projects but the same transaction type is being maintained(SDMI, SDAD) mostly...

In my case when i define a custom code, it is not taking the maintenance cycle of the implmentation project that i have created, it takes the maintenance project maintenance cycle.

Can anyone help me out in this. I just wanna know where exactly is the link between the maintenance cycle and the code in the subject profile.

how is it identifying the correct maintenance cycle....

if i have to define a custom subject for a change request..how will identify the implementation project maintenance cycle...

REquest your guidance in this regard.

Hi,

You should check in the IMG guide following this path :

SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Change Request Management -> Extended Configuration -> Change Transaction -> Change Transaction Types

and select the activity Make Settings for Change Transaction Types then choose the relevant transaction type and double click on Copy Control Rules in the left pannel.

The settings you are looking for should be there.

i was checking in the copy control...

whenm i gave the project type there it worked perfectly....

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked that setting also.

it is just the copy control of part of current processor.

And business partner, log and date profile...

ht details of this maintenance cycle or implementation project or upgrade project is got from /tmwflow/maint_inst...

but i was not able to trace out where is this link maintained...

because i didn't find anything in catelog, code group or subject profile...

and nothing is there in copy control also....

the same transaction type is used for implementation as well for maintenance...

but on selecting the project the correct task list is selected...

kindly let me know where exactly is that setting that i need to make to achieve this...

request your advice in this regard...
