System Copy - Solman - Maxdb - wat is <instdir> of the export

Hi All,

I am performing a homogeneous system copy of a solution manager 700 ehp1 with maxdb DB. The Guide says that the generated DDL statements should be placed in the <instdir> of the export.

Which is the <instdir> of an export. We have created a /export mountpoint on our linux system for having the export file.

The DDL statements were created in the /tmp directory.

Now to which directory does "<instdir> of export" mean?

Aplogies if this sounds too silly, but i am new to System copy procedures and i wanted to be sure before proceeding.

Please let me know your answers on this.

Thanks and Regards,

Raghavan

hi DDL files mostly needed if your source system is BI / BW system.. the DDL file is the file that generated for BW tables that unique that normal tables..

and you can copy the result into you export folder ( where you export the data to) /DB/ of the target system before you import the data. This is the only way that R3load can evaluate these special files
