Hi,

Sorry, I have not seen dev_w0 log which is already posted. If possible paste the complete log and from the available log it says unable to create the shared memory. Please check the virtual memory allocated is sufficient. If possible restart the server once and then continue with the installation.

Thanks & Regards,

Thanks for your reply, the database is up ,

and I use command 'ps -ef |grep ora' & 'ps -ef |grep dw', the sap and oracle proces is ok ,

but when I continu the old installation , and then use command 'ps -ef|grep dw' check the process again ,

I couldn't find the SAP Process.

I have pasted the dev_w0 , dev_disp logs on the first page , you could check it again !

thank you !

Hi,

As said earlier, please check the shared memroy creation issue. Restart the server once and then continue with the installation.

Hi Michael,

Agree with Sharath. It seems to be a memory bottleneck. Please restart the server if it is windows or clean the ipc if it is UNIX and then continue with the installation.

Michael,

Refer to this line: "ERROR => shmget(10008,536870912,992) (28: No space left on device)".

Seems there's not enough space on the hard drive to be able to start SAP. Check the space availability and take appropriate action.

Hi,

Can you tell us what is your Server H/W details like RAM size and what is the virtual memory you have set. Also, let us know the platform in which you are carrying on the installation.

Open the terminal window and type the command "df -h". Check the available space of the file system on which you are installing SAP.

Hi Michael,

Request you to go through the installation document once again. Looks like you don't have enough shared memory segments or other shared memory parameters configured appropriately. Also try to add more swap space.

Did you run pre-requisite checker before starting the installation? If yes what was the result?

Yes, the pre-requisite checker's result is successful.

Thanks for your advice!

Good. Then please revisit the installation document and make necessary changes in the shared memory segments and parameters.
