My Query?
1. Please let me know if this is an issue with mks.zip file, the is there a work around for this without upgrading my BR tools SP level 710
Currently they are at:
BR Tools:
Kernel Release: 700
Patch Level:31
2. I want to take back up in compression mode only so how do I do that?
Please help me on this
Hi Shinjinee,
Update the Compression ratio using BRTOOLs and then try taking the backup in compressed format.

Hello Mark,
The log which I posted earlier is the Database log: i got it from the Oracle sapbackup folder after the backup.
After the current backup was terminated abruptly: Only following files were there in the Destination Db_Backup folde()H:\ as mentioned earlier):
1. init<SID>.ora
2. init<SID>.sap
3. SPFILE<SID>.ORA
Please let me know if I should look for in any other place also.
Sorry to say but I don;t know where else to look
Thanks

Hello Mark,
Thanks for replying,
1. Only backup was taking place at that time: 00:40 in the server.
This situation happened before as well , both the time the Backup stopped at 60% and 86% completion
2. The backup is taking place in H:\ which is local drive
Regarding Compression mode query-----> I cannot take backup without compression mode and check wether it is working or not because of disk space constraints
Please help

Hi,
What else was happening around the 00:40 time ?
Where is the 'H' drive ? is it on a remote server or local ?
2. I want to take back up in compression mode only so how do I do that?
It is compressing the files hence the 'Z' suffix.
Mark
