RIMODINI vs RIMODAC2/Rim

Former Member

Hi

In my background jobs, my process has 43 steps, where my last 2 steps are RIMODINI, one for stocks and one for transactional data.

My question is, "If I have a RIMODINI in my background job, do I still need to run my RIMODAC2 and RIMODGEN for my stocks and transactional data (Purchase Req's, Production Orders, Sales Orders etc.)"

What would be the best way to schedule my background jobs with the least amount of steps, where I can send from

R/3 to APO Material master data, Product Data Structures, Stock and Transactional Data.

Thanx in advance.

Keegan

Hi Keegan,

As per the SAP recommended practice, the following

is the ideal scenario for setting up background job with

the sequence

1) RIMODDEL - Delete old inactive model if any (Optional)

2) RIMODINI - Initial data transfer

3) RIMODGEN - New model generation

4) RIMODAC2 - New model activation

Hi,

You can use two steps in background job for IM model

1- RIMOGEN -Creating IM

2- RIMODAC2- Activating the IM for current data and deacivated the old model.
