Hi, How to make quality info record mandatory? pls advise where to make the settings.

Hi,

you have to activate qm procurrement key in mayerial master ,

Then in transaction QI01 you have to make q info record .

If you have 2 vendor for same material then you have to make 2 info record for same material with 2 vendors.

Q inforecord is nothing but approved vendor for procurring material .

For source inspection also you have to give setting in same screen.

You can lock vendor through this q info record by going in QI02 change info record.

dear, thanks. want to make quality info record mandatory for all vendors. how can we ensure this? checked in control key, could not find any field like q-info record. want to set as follows. if any po generated by other deptartments system should reject that po unless the qinfo record is maintained by quality dept (like giving approval for vendor). how to set this. please advise in detail.

Hi,

As you said Q info record is related with vendor approval.But you want to restrict any user to create PO then in that case you can restrict them on aytharisation level.You can give autharisation to only those key user to whome you want to create PO.

For remaining user you can give at the most display .

By this you can restrict any other department to create PO.

Hii,

In material master QM niew activate QM in Procurement key and define suitable QM control key (except 0000 no active functions). Then system will ask for Qinfo record.

Hi,

In Material Master QM view there is one field QM proc. active. astivate that field.

now u can create quality info record by QI01.
