Hello,
When daylight saving begins in a few days, the OS level clocks would move forward by an hour.
Is it necessary to stop SAP and DB when this transition occurs?
I mean I understand that when clocks move backwards, it can introduce errors in the system. But clocks moving forward would not.
Please suggest.
Hello,
No need to anything when daylight saving time starts in summer (i.e March).Reason for this is to avoid duplicate time entries in the database.Going 1 hour ahead of time (in spring) is usually not a problem. But going 1 hour back (in autumn) could create duplicate entries and short dumps.
