Not unicode-compatible program stops the upgrade in XPRAS_UPG

Hello all,

our upgrade from 4.6 to ECC6 stops at the XPRAS_UPG event while doing the Quality system upgrade.

Error message shows that there is one SAP standard program named RGGD1301 is not Unicode-compatible (no flag in its properties). For info, we are not still at the Unicode conversion.

We have tried to update the floag directly in Quality environment but it fails as the dev class is not unicode-compatible too (which is normal) and therefore does not allow us to create a Transport Request.

What we identified is that RGGD1301 is a program generated by report named RGTBGD13.

Now, we are blocked. Do you have any ideas to be able to bypass and/or continue?

Hi Chris,

please check profile parameter abap/unicode_check (see SAP note 1322715 point 25. for details). It should be set to "off" in your case.
