Hi

We are in process of configuring outbound mail.

Profile parmeteres adapted are icm/server_port_0= PROT=SMTP,PORT=0,

is/SMTP/virt_host_0=:;and followed the notes 421359 for ICM Parameters

when we give the SMTP port number as 25,SMTP serveice in SMIC is not working and when we changed to 0 SMTP service is working.

Now the issue coming is we are not able to send the Mails to any domains and the error message in SOST is

*message number 826,Cannot process message, no route from XXXXX to XXXXX.com.*

Please suggest on how to over come the issue,are we missing any parameters or any other configurations.

All your help is highly Appreciated.

Swetha

Hi Swetha,

Please goto SCOT -> Node "SMTP" -> Button "Internet" -> Address Area enter "*" without the quotes.

This instructs SAPconnect to process all email addresses in this node. Not just specific domains.

Hope this helps

Hi,

Please Check with your Network Team also that SMTP port is open in the server, and If you have mail server then from your SAP system to Mail server telnet is working Please check.

Thanks & Regards,

If your SAP system is not going to receive mail or notification messages you can leave the SMTP port set to 0.

Read through Note 455140 "Configuration of e-mail..." especially from Section 4. SAPconnect Administration. You must also make sure that whatever mail server you wish to route mail through that it is configured to be able to do so for your SAP system.

HI

Did you check in SCOT?

SCOT>SMTP->Internet

SCOT>Settings-->Default Domain.

Please also check if you can telnet the SMTP server.
