Mono CPU vs Bi CPU

Hello To all,

We will install SAP Netweaver 7.0 (2004s) on a server with 2 instances: one instance for SOLMAN and another instance for ECC (ERP Central Component).

We will make a choice between 2 configurations, the first configuration is with only one processor Quad Core and the second is with 2 processors Quad Core.

The first configuration can be sufficient to have 2 instances on it ?

Hi,

it is always recommended to have Solman system as a separate instance.

more over, this dependes on your requirement and also need to consider many parameters like, number of users,system environment(Applications,components,Hardware,usage and estimated growth of the system)
