Hi,

YOu will have an XSD file for each version of INVOIC D 96A in your PI system's Seeburger Directory(You have to login to the PI system's physical server )

Import that XSD into your Integration Repository as an external repository.

Similarly you will have to import the IDOC structure which will be your source or target message interface.

Then you do the mapping in your Message Mapping as per your requirement.

so if we do the mapping part in seeburger mapping designer then how it is link with SAP PI and after mapping seeburger mapping designer we should not do any mapping in IR?/

The mappings in Seeburger mapping designer are the so-called 1:1 mappings. They convert EDIFACT to XML and vice versa. The mapping designer has a function to compile them to an SCA which you then have to deploy to PI. This is the link. But yoiu normally do not change these 1:1 mappings, but use the standard ones which are delivered by Seeburger. But it's important to know that they exist and what they are, in case of problems there.

In PI, you then do the "real" mapping (e.g graphical mapping) from e.g. an invoice idoc to an INVOIC D 96A xml structure or vice versa.

So the 1:1 mappings are used at adapter level (when it enters or leaves PI), and within PI you work with "normal" XML structures.

So this means your customer has purchased a Seeburger adapterlicense which will come with documentation for PI. Use that as first entry point. Such a general question you can not handle well in forum answer.

General first hints:

Seeburger delivers an EDI-adapter which will be deployed into PI. This adapter contains functionality to map between XML and EDIfact format. It also contains (normally) some standard mappings (e.g. for invoice). But be VERY careful with these standard mappings. Not all of them can be used without change. Make detailed tests and do not rely on them.

The BIC mapping designer is not used in PI, but you can see it as a kind of external development or debugging tool in case of problems. You will surely use it, because there are many pitfalls regarding EDIFact and XML/PI. The topic is quite complex.
