ForeignKey and Field Check

Hi Folks,

we have some Z-Fields in our MARA structure wich we are displaying on a WD-view.

In DDIC I assigned check-tables and foreign keys to all Z-Fields.

(The tables were build with same domains and data elements)

When I enter some values into the fields on the view and start FM Material_Maintain_Dark to save the material and customer data no check is made for my z-fields according to check tables.

Any help ?

(perhaps its the same problem as it is [here|😉

Foreign Key/Check Table validation checks are not performed by the Web Dynpro Framework. That is the responsibility of the specific application logic. You might consider the use of DropDownByKey UI elements, so that only allowed values are proposed to the user.

So I think I'll have to implement this field check against their tables... perhaps I invent something generic...

We have got about 200 Z-Fields
