Hi,
what is the use of planning file entry and when it will be generated?
- Ram.
Hi Ram,
Planning file extry will be created or executed by system to
the objects (location products) which undergo planning run.
ie Whenever a location product undergoes demand or supply
relevant changes, during planning run for system to plan, a
planning file entry will be marked by system which will be
used as basis for planning.
This will be used in cases where network heuristics kind of
runs will be executed

You can view PFE under menu path:
APO>Production Planning>Reporting-->/SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH - Display Planning File Entries
You need not maintain setting for generating this file
If you need to consider PFE during planning, in the background job /sapapo/snp01 under Scope of planning ,u201DNet change planning u201C should be flagged
Planning File Entry basically the difference between the previous data & current data,
It means if any new changes happen in terms of planning data then the respective planning file entry got generated.
While doing the PP you can take the run only for the planning file entry means only for the changed data.
