Hi All,
while importing(Excel Sheet) I am getting following error.
Specifically The type Rows GuessDWORD value of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWTARE\Mircosoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Excel key must be changed from its current value of 8 to 0.
Hi,
This change in registry setting is required so that Import Manager can properly determine the Data type of each excel column. Import Manager offers to do this automatically for you when you connect to excel for the first time.
If you do not allow the MDM Import Manager to change the registry setting, some Excel source data values may be ignored or truncated, or their data type improperly converted.
For More details please refer to import manager reference guide.

Shiv

Hi Praveen,
Rightly said by Shiv and Satish. You will need to reinstall the Import Manager and allow the jet driver to update the registry setting. This will resolve your issue.

Hi Praveen,
You will get a warning or popup when you are doing for the first time. You need to ask import manager to do the changes. If you didnot allow then you will have this error. I think you have not allowed to do it automatically so you are getting this error.
The best thing to do now is uninstall the import manager and reinstall it. Once again when you load for the first time you will have the same warning/popup and let import manager take care of it. Then you will not have this error.
As suggested by Prashant please see page 49 in SAP MDM 7.1 --- MDM Import manager Reference Guide which has EXCEL-RELATED IMPORT CHALLENGES.
