Hi,
I needed to know what part does the BI system plays in decision making of SCM. Is there some specific document or course which will help us to identify the functional aspect of BI for SCM.
A document link/Transaction list where BI content is used in SCM or any other type of data related to the integration would be really appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Rishav Surana
Hi Rishav Surana,
The Business Intelligence in SCM plays a vital role in various
areas like
1) Extracting,
2) Reporting throughout the project lifecycle
This can act as a linking media to model, distribute data,
acuiring real time data.
The SCM part of BI includes
1) Integration
2) Transformation
3) Consolidation
4) Cleanup
5) Storage
6) Staging

Hi,
Is there some standard document which would help us to identify how we activiely make use of BI in SCM. (Internal and External). This would help me to finally jot down the list of places where BI is used and how it is being made use of.
Again, Transactions would be of great help!

Hi Rishav Surana,
The below link will helps you to understand how BI helps in
administrating the demand planning process in SCM. This also
explains how exchange of data happens between technical
BI objects, data warehousing methods, transfer and upload
process etc.,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/59/a3453ff168e07fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Some of the typical transaction codes are RSA1, RSPC, RSA3, RSA7 etc.,

Hi,
Thanks for the link you shared. Provides a great insight.
what i was looking for is a document which would tell me what functionality is provided by the BI system to the APO system. Some transactions which would show reports, based on the data in BI.
As i mentioned earlier, i was looking for a few transactions and reasons why BI is used for SCM.
