PAN No validation in CIN details of customer master

Hello Friends

We have a requirement that in CMR in the CIN details in the PAN NO maintanence Duplication should not be allowed

For example there should not be 2 customers say A and B with same PAN no say ABSRF9658C

Presently the system is allowing you to have the same PAN no for 2 different customers

Not even a warning message or information triggered

Is there any possiblity thro customization to throw a warning message or information message or an

ERROR MESSAGE ( Preferably ) in the CIN settings

Through standard settings, I dont think, this can be controlled. Either in your existing routine, you can add this logic or please try with EXIT_SAPMF02D_001 or BADI CATSXT_EVENT
