Barcode scanning at IM level

Hi all,

My client is interested in barcode functions.They want to use the barcode functions in inventory management level in sap.

They are not interested to go for WMS. Its an refinery company.

They want to implement barcode and do the goods movement process.

Whether HUM can handle this process with barcode or suggest any other best way.

Kindly do the needful.

It is not mandatory to have SAP WM in order to implement barcode scanning.

You will have to develop your own RF based transactions in ABAP for IM postings.

Handling Unit is also not required (but may be chosen depending on the business process).

First you should speak to your development team if they have experience in developing custom RF transactions. If their answer is no then consult a suitable vendor to do this for you.
