Is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Supported

Hi,

I'm attempting to install Oracle 10g on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. And I got an error right at I ran sapserver.cmd.

Below is the error message.

"

Checking operating system requirements ...

Expected result: One of 5.0,5.1,5.2,6.0

Actual Result: 6.1

"

Has anyone else used this platform successfully or unsuccessfully?

Btw, I checked Note 1303262 - Oracle on Windows Server 2008 already.

Hi,

No, it is not yet supported but SAP seems to work on it: Check note [Note 1383873 - Windows Server 2008 R2 Support|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1383873]

That said, I 've just installed a testbed EP 7.0 EHP1 on Windows 2008 R2 and it runs fine...

Hi Olivier,

And how did you install Oracle as it is not released for Windows2008 R2? I'm trying to install ERP 6.0 EHP4 with Oracle 10.20.0.4 and I cannot.

Thanks and best regards,

Ana.

Hi,

I just did it and had no problem !

This was just a testbed system.
