I am a new bee and could you please explain the meaning of "unmount transports" ? Why we do it ?
Thanks
kumar
Theres no such concept... transports are not mounted but imported and theres no way to reverse a transport other than importing the correct data again or sometimes using version management depending on the contents of the request.

You have a concept problem.... "mounting" the transport directory means creating a mount point for a filesystem, basically the same way that shares exist in Windows.
I simply cannot understand why would anyone call for a production system downtime to unmount the transport directory... without the mount TMS would not work
