Hi Gurus,
I Have R/3 4.6C with kernel level 2352 with two iseries application server and four windows application server (V5R4 - Win2003)
Last saturday we applyed PTF according sap Infoapar in one iseries application server.
After PTF applyed the APP instance start OK, but the system generate some shortdumps type: TABLE_INVALID_INDEX, SPOOl_I/O_ERROR, IMPORT_UNEXPECTED_END_OF_DATA, LOAD_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND, SAPSQL_ARRAY_DUPREC.
The PTF version in our DB server is:
SF99540 8057
SF99539 74
SF99504 16
SF99291 13
The PTF version in our APP server is:
SF99540 9321
SF99539 119
SF99504 23
SF99291 22
Do you know some problem when applying the PTF in three tier system?
I open a OSS messages, but SAP still check the issue.
I have my plane flying with one engine stopped!!!
Regards,
Ernesto Castro.
Hello Ernesto,
I guess, you did install the stuff in your dev & Q-System with success.
If this was true, it strongly sounds like an incompatibility between the XDA-Interface, as you update by about 2 years in an inconsistent way.
So, I would gues, you would have to update all servers - even when I understand your fear here ...
Please do check out the latest QXDAEDRS.dll version for Win 2003 ....

Hello Volker,
Yes, i applyed the PTF in DEV and QAS system 2 week ago, but the QAS system have only one Win 2003 APP server and all run OK after PTF applyed.
The problem is only in iseries (V5R4) app server. Productive system (with PTF applyed). Now (with iseries app instance stopped) all run OK.
The XDA-client have version 11.64.0.4
The shortdupms occur only when the process run in this app server affected.
Regards,
Ernesto.
Hello Ernesto,
yes, that is exactly what I meant !
So, I would guess, you would have to update ALL (DB & APPL) servers - even when I understand your fear here ...
