hi everyone, i'm a newbie here... i've installed SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP Trial version on my pc virtual machine which running on Windows XP Service pack 2... the reason i installed SAP Netweaver into my virtual machine is because my main pc is running on Windows 7 Home Premium where i'm aware SAP Netweaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version only supported up to Windows Vista... i've successfully installed SAP Netweaver 7.01 into my virtual machine but what i'm facing is, when everytime i tried to start my Application Server, i will get a message 'FAIL: process dispwork.EXE Dispatcher not running'... i also tried to start the Application Server in SAPMMC, the dispwork.exe status stating 'Running but Message Server unreachable' and the status will turned to Stopped within 10 seconds...

i don't know what's going on and hope will find a solution here... thanks a lot...

Hi Yeong,

Please update JAVA_HOME system enviromental variable in my computer (My computer > Priperties >> Advance >> Startup and Recovery >> Enviromental Variable >> System Variables >> Add new JAVA_HOME parameter with path for installed Java JDK)

ALos please check database server (Run > Services.msc >> Start your database manually and change prperties as automatic)

then try again to restart your server.

Hope it helps,

Regards,

Arun

Sorry. My English is very simple, but I think I have a solution for your problem. I suppose the name of your computer is too long. Please check how many characters it has. If its more than 13, you have to change it (max 13). Than uninstall your sap system and install new. With a litte luck it will run.

best regards

Thanks, Karsten!

It was really helpful advice. Although I knew about the limit of 13 characters - I forgot to check this and had to reinstall twice. But when I found your recommendations, I repaired the computer name and that fix the problem:)

dev_w0 is a developer trace.... you can find it on /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/work

You could have searched for the file

here's the message after running R3trans -d

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 701 - 16.06.08 - incl UA1310.w, UA1341, and UA1274).

2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."

R3trans finished (0012)

It seems your database library is missing.

open a cmd.exe, step to usr\sap\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386 and execute

dir *.dll

and post the output here.

Hi Markus,

thanks for your reply but i guess this doesnt cause the problem because one of my pc which could run SAP Netweaver 7.01 perfectly also gave this same message:

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 701 - 16.06.08 - incl UA1310.w, UA1341, and UA1274).

2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."
