Configuring 3rd party system as Identity Management System

Dear All,

We have got a CRM application which is a BSP application, We are trying to setup an Identity Management System to provide Authentication for that CRM application,

Presently the application is using SAP Basic Authentication as the Authentication Template, But need to change it to the one provided by Third Party system (acting as Identity Management system).

We have installed the Third Party Authentication Template in the WAS, but dont know how to assign the same to the BSP application(CRM Application in SAP), so that it starts using authentication from the Central Identity Management.

Any idea/suggestion would be of great help!!!!

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards,

Deepak

Please do not duplicate post to multiple forums.

What is "the one" - how does authentication against that 3rd party system happen?

Also, can that 3rd party issue an authentication which the SAP system can use as well?

Cheers,

Julius

Hi Julius,

Actually first I posted it under 'Security' then I realized it should be in 'SAP Netweaver Administration', that is why duplicate thread.

Anyways to answer your question, the 3rd party system is 'SiteMinder' provided by 'CA',

The siteminder authentication template has been installed and configured in SAP WAS as per a document provided by them.

But we are not able to use that template, Aswe do not really know where in SAP system we change/configure the new login module or authentication template, so that it starts accepting login from Siteminder system.

Thanks,

Deepak
