Dear Experts,
We are installing Solution Manager 7.00 EHP1 on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition 6.1 on a 64 bit platform. When running the pre-requisite checker it shows that the OS build 6.1 is not supported. Does anyone know which version of OS WIN 2008 server is supported or whether the Solution Manager can be installed on Build 6.1. Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Rohan

Hello Rohan,
Is this on a Windows installation? Are you running a IA64 or a X64 bit installation? It may be that you are launching the wrong installer files so I would try the other.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply. I have checked in PAM but did not find any specific information about Win 2008 build 6.1 edition. What I understand is Win 2008 build 6.1 is the Win 2008 R2 edition. So just wanted to confirm whether the version is supported for SM EHP1 or any earlier version is required. Meanwhile our database is DB2. Any updates would be helpful.
Regards,
Rohan

Hi Rohan,
Did you look at the Product Availability Matrix on service.sap.com? We are running our SM EHP1 SP22 on Win 2008 with SQL 2008.
From what i can see, SQL 2005/8 and Oracle 10.2 are supported on Win 2008.
Cheers,
Chris
