Control indicators for controlling area XXXX do not exist

Hi Gurus,

Am creating a new company code, and while trying to procces a sales order the get the following error:

Control indicators for controlling area xxxx do not exist

Message no. KI102

Diagnosis

No control indicators exist in fiscal year 2009 for controlling area xxxx.

System Response

No further processing is possible without valid control indicators in the controlling area.

Procedure

Check your entries or define control indicators for controlling area xxxx, fiscal year 2009 in configuration. Make sure that the fiscal year in the control indicators is a "from" fiscal year.

I have tried the follwoing trouble shooting step:

• T code- okkp and activated all the components and checked the sales order option.

What might be the issue ?

Activate components for fiscal year 2009 & also for 2010 in OKKP

Use T code OKKP in that

first Select controlling Area & then select Activate components / control indicators

enter company code , period and Year Execute

I am at the current period already, how can we close the current period.

This will again result in some other issue, and we have to open it again.

Apart from OKKP, also go to o02k and maintain the Period Indicator

Kindly maintain the fiscal year in Activate components/control indicators as 2010.

Thanks Ankur, Santosh and Kapil,

I changed the fiscal yr to 2009 in okkp instead of 2010 and it works fine now. Able to process the order.

But while updating the stock it shows me the following error in MB1C,

Posting only possible in periods 2010/02 and 2010/01 in company code xxxx.

The current period is 2010/02 when checked in OMSY and am unable to change it as it has been initialised.

Please help me on this.

Hi,

In the Transaction code OKKP, there is a control tab in which you can activate the COMPONENTS & CONTROL INDICATORS.

Please maintain all the INDICATORS and assign this to the COMPANY CODE.

Please check that and revert back.
