error during installation

hi guys,

Im trying to install ECC 6.0 on my system, whenever the installation starts i get the following error:

ERROR 2010-02-24 16:44:51.937

FCO-00011 The step createSystemDirectories with step key |NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|6|0|createSystemDirectories was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step :Creating node $(DIR_TRANS) with type DIRECTORY failed. Original exception text was: syslib.filesystem.nodeCreationFailed:

Unable to create node
sapserver\sapmnt\ with type DIRECTORY: can't create parent node...).

What do i do?

Hi,

Make sure that you have added <SID>adm user in Administrators group.

As per my understanding <SID>adm user is not being able to create share
sapserver\sapmnt\.

To create share it require admin priviledges..

Hi,

be sure that the <SID>adm has fully access to /usr/sap/trans / $DIR_TRANS btw. check permissions /usr/sap/ and /sapmnt

The user has full permissions on the the stated directories. Is there any other solution.

Hve you tried to create sapmnt manually and resume the installation?.. what OS are you working on?

What is OS you are using, it its windows,please make sure u use NTFS file system.

I have not created the sapmnt folder, how do i do that and where?...........the OS is Windows server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64.
