Hi,
what is the difference CVC realignment and like profiling?

Hi Ashish,
This will be defined at key figure level in DP
Under transaction /sapapo/msdp_admin, if you select
the planning area and right click & display, under the
tab key figure disaggregation will contain the details
of calculation type and its time-based disaggregation type.
Please confirm your query is resolved

Hi Ashish,
Aggregation and disaggregation are the planning tools in DP which
will be used when planning at very higher level and lower levels
respectively.
Say for eg., if you have 3 materials, material 1,2,3 which are at
lower level and belongs to a material group or a family A which is
at a very high level, if you want to see the key figures summed up
at a high level A, then you can use aggregation functionality
If you want to plan the key figures summing down at material level,
then we use disaggregation functionality.
Hope this example will fetch you to understand the concept.
Please confirm

Hi Ashish,
1) Historical data
2) Yes, In like profile, you will maintain the product which
is similar to it and will not have past history. Alongwith
updating the product in CVC, you need to update like profile

Hi Ashish,
1) CVC realignment :-
In this process you generate new characteristic value combinations
based on existing combinations and copy data from the source
combinations to the new combinations. You can specify that the original
values of both the characteristic values and the data are deleted.
2) Like profiling:-
A like profile allows you to create the demand forecast of a product using
the historical input data of a product or products whose demand behavior
is the same or similar. Create like profiles for products with short lifecycles
or for products with insufficient historical data. You can use the same like
profile for multiple products.
