Synchronous RFC to Oracle (using Cursors)

Former Member

Hi,

We are currently on XI 3.0 SP9.

We have been asked to create a new interface using a Synchronous RFC sending data to a Oracle Stored Procedure. The Stored Procedure will return data and then this data is posted back into the SAP system (basically saying success or fail)

It is my understanding that the stored procedure will use Cursors (which I know are not supported at our SP level).

My question is, apart from the Cursor problem, is it possible for SAP XI 3.0 SP9 to handle Synchronous RFC calls in the way I have described?

Thanks

Gareth

That is not true, is it?

This was shipped 2004!

Apply the latest patch.

When my answer does not help you, I try this:

Yes, you can use synchronous RFC calls in XI 3.0 SP9 in principle.

But SP9 has really a lot of issues. I have worked with it. I was glad, when we had at least SP10
