Excise Rate change after Budget

As the budget is on 27th Feb'10 and excise rates would definitely be changed, client has asked to provide a BDC to bulk upload the revised excise rate in J1ID.

I have tried to create a recording in LSMW but the constraint is that once I execute J1ID, by default the black icon is in "Chapter ID" and this should be changed to "Excise Tax Rate" manually in recording.

Due to this, when uploading the text file in LSMW, data is not uploading and system is going to Chapter id screen.

Can somebody suggest the best method through which, excise tax rates can be changed in mass.

Hi,

Kindly check SAP Note - 1435105.

You can manually change valid date in condition records.
