How to Deactivate NWDI?

Former Member

Our NWDI is running on a DEV SID. Occasionally we copy DEV to XXX. (XXX is a sandbox SID).

Normally XXX should not have NWDI.

Is there a way to Deactivate NWDI on XXX so that users do not accidently use XXX to use/create tracks, etc?

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!

Hi Bart,

As per your message XXX should not have NWDI and NWDI is running on a DEV SID that means that you need to remove the data related to XXX(SDM information) from CMS>>Landscape configuration from DEV SID .

Hope that will resolve your issue.

Thanks

Arun

Hi Bart,

You probably copy the whole filesystem to XXX.

After this copy do NOT start the Web Application Server on XXX. Your NWDI services will not be running and connection is impossible.

Hope this helps.

Alain,

Thanks for taking time to reply.

In this example ... XXX (the sandbox) needs to be started! But we don't want to start the NWDI part of XXX.

We found propertie "idlestart" in the CBS service (visual Admin). I believe we can keep CBS from starting using this parameter. But how can we keep the DTR on XXX from starting up?

Any perspective you all have on this will be greatly appreciated!

All the best ... Bart

You can stop the DTR enterpriseapp application from the Deploy service in Visual Admin. That will probably be enough.

Hi,

Also you can undeploy the CMS, DTR, CBS components using SDM.
