Hi experts,
We are planning to implement a production with a DR system. The DR system located at remote site will be a standby machine for the production system on MSSQL 2005 win 2003.
Both the Production and DR system is NW 7.0 with ABAP and we are planning to install with same SID.
The DR system will be install using system copy. On the regular update from Production to DR, we are planning to use MSSQL Log Shipping method.
Please tell me the log shipping method for MSSQL 2005.
Thanks
Shoaib

Hi Shoaib,
you may want to look into database mirroring also, in DB mirroring you can setup automatic fail over also. I leave it there with DB mirroring there are some pros and cons with it.
But as far as log shipping goes, its a good solution if you configure properly according to your infrastructure.
Please download below step by step guide for log shipping for SAP.
