Statistical forecasting helps to arrive at forecast generated based on past
history.
The past history includes your historical data like sales figures, budget
figures, stock levels etc., These can be either uploaded into system or
extract from SAP or non-SAP systems using the help of BW into APO DP
Based on this data as input, when we run demand planning in APO with
selected forecast method & profile, system generates statistical forecast.
This forecast either can directly be used or can be converted into a
consensus form in fine tuning with the budget values
