Lot Sample Size not equal to sum of char. sample size

Hi all

I have a problem with sample sizes.

Example:

Material basic QM data using Insp.Type:1 (original) and task list. with dynamic mod.rule at Char.Level

Lot qty: 10

Char.1: Sampl.Size:10%, -> Char.Sampl.Size: 1

Char.2: Sampl.Size:20%, -> Char.Sampl.Size: 2

Char.3: Sampl.Size:20%, -> Char.Sampl.Size: 2 (additive and destructiv sample)

Char.4 :Mod.Rule called F01, -> Char.Sampl.Size: ex:1

But i get a lot sample size of 10!! Why? I expect a lot size of 4!

(if a remove char.4 with the mod.rule i get the right lot sampl size).

Best Regards

Hi,

Check your sampling scheme assigned to sampling procedure for Char.4 , where you are using DMR, It may have sample size 10.

...Its strage... 10 minutes after post the message I discovered that you need to have a Sampeling Procedure in the Insp.Plan linked to the Mod.Rule.

I also discovered that you then don't need to have the mod.rule in the Insp.Plan at al.

My questions to you is then: WHY IS THERE A MODIFICATION RULE at al in the insp.plan?

Regards.

WHY IS THERE A MODIFICATION RULE

Reason is when you want to apply the skip to a perticular vendor material combination(which you maintain in the task list) you need to mension the same in the task list header.This allows you to have previlage to dynamically modify the lot status depending upon the level in which you apply DMR.

If you are not using the task list then you can specify DMR in the Inspection type.
